Several innovative administration steps in the security of the Gangasagar Mela with ‘GPS Tracker’ monitor pilgrim movement!

This year, there is no Kumbh Mela. The situation in Corona is also under control. As a result, the management estimates that this year’s Gangasagar Mela will draw between 60 and 70 lakh visitors. But how will such a large population be managed? How will a collision be managed? What methods will be used for surveillance? The administration has now devised a creative solution to address this issue. How does that work?

All modes of transportation in Sagar Dwip have GPS trackers installed in order to keep track of the number of pilgrims visiting Sagarmala. According to authorities, crowd control would be made simple with the help of this GPS tracker in case of any undesirable event.

According to Mahant Sanjay Das, the chief assistant to Gnandas Babaji, the head of the Kapil Munir Ashram, “This time, there may be 60 to 65 lakhs of people.” As a result, the government takes precautions right away. To manage the crowd, they want to employ the Pilgrim Tracking Management System for pious travellers from anywhere, especially Babughat. A tracking system is in place for all public and private transportation.

The fair officially opens on January 8. Foreign migrant pilgrims have already begun to arrive. On Wednesday in the late afternoon, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will visit Sagar to view the fair’s preparations. He’ll sleep beneath the waves that night.

The pilgrims have a temporary home in the Hogla cantonment, which has been constructed with the fair’s security in mind. To prevent problems like fire, fire retardant chemicals are also being applied to the Hogla canopies. To ensure safety, the fire department is taking all necessary precautions. Two Kotal Sagar bathing ghats were destroyed during the puja. The six bathing ghats have all sustained some minor damage. As a result, the task of carrying silver sand to bridge the river bank is ongoing during wartime activities.

To practically complete the fair’s preparations prior to the chief minister’s arrival, efforts are now being made. There are 100 CCTVs spread out over the entire fair. While wading into the water, the Chief Minister will open three permanent helipads. There are several projects that will virtually launch from the helipad grounds. He will thereafter travel to Bharat Sevashram from there. then later in the day at the Kapilmuni Ashram. In addition, he plans to start building a new temple there.
