Durga Puja 2023 Weather Update: Rain Expected in Kolkata and Assam

Kolkata’s Durga Puja: Durga Puja, a highly cherished festival in India, is currently underway with great enthusiasm. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted clear skies for most of the Puja days in the state. However, the weather department anticipates rain on Navami and Dashmi, with the city likely to experience mild showers. Dry weather is expected from October 17 to 20.
According to Sanjib Bandyopadhyay, Deputy Director General of the Regional Met Centre, a cyclonic circulation appearing over the Bay of Bengal is expected to primarily affect the coastal districts of southern Bengal, including Kolkata, North and South 24 Parganas, Howrah, and Hooghly on October 23 and 24.
