Do you have an Aadhaar card that is older than ten years? Update documents immediately as instructed by UIDAI.
Those who have never updated their Aadhaar card records in the last 10 years should immediately update all documents online or at the nearest Aadhaar center.
The government made significant revisions to the Aadhaar card regulations. Information indicates that the Aadhaar card’s documentation must now be updated every ten years. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has also urged Aadhaar holders who received their UINs more than ten years ago but haven’t updated their information in that time to do so right away, either online or at the closest Aadhaar Center. This manual is for updating database information.
The Aadhaar card has emerged as the most extensively used identity document for Indians during the past ten years. More than 1,100 federal programmes managed by the central government cannot be accessed without an Aadhaar number. For customers to use services at financial institutions like banks and NBFCs, an Aadhaar card is also required.
Aadhaar card holders can update their unique ID data online through the “MyAadhaar” portal or by going to the closest Aadhaar centre and submitting supporting papers offline, according to a statement from UDIAI in this respect. Aadhaar cards were issued to people ten years ago, and the statement continued, “Those who have not updated their Aadhaar cards in these years must update their Aadhaar cards with all the information.”
Residents should maintain their Aadhaar cards updated with current identification and residence confirmation, according to the Unique Identification Authority of India. Additionally, according to UIDAI, updating the Aadhaar document will facilitate accurate authentication and improved services.
