Forgot ATM card pin number? What if the card will be blocked?
Have you forgotten your ATM card’s pin number? Is it possible to generate a fresh PIN? Yes, you can now do it while sitting at home.
Here are the four methods to generate a new ATM pin:
From ATM machines
- Insert the card into the machine first.
From the menu, select “Forgot PIN” or “Regenerate ATM PIN.”
On the page that appears, enter the registered mobile number. - An OTP will be sent to that mobile number.
- If you give an OTP, you will be asked to enter a new PIN.
- Setting by inputting a new PIN is no longer an issue.
Online net banking
- Begin netbanking by visiting the bank’s website and logging in.
- Go to the card area and request Instant PIN Generation.
- All card information, such as expiration date and CVV, should be provided.
A registered mobile phone number should be provided.
An OTP will be sent to that phone. A new PIN can be chosen after providing the OTP.
Using the Smart phone app
- The bank’s mobile app can also be used to generate a new ATM PIN. Download the app and navigate to the Forgot ATM PIN option.
All card details, such as expiration date and CVV, should be provided. - After that, a new ATM PIN can be generated.
- Many banks, however, display the number on the screen when the user selects the Forgot ATM PIN option, so there is no need to generate a new number.
Through the bank
- If you are unfamiliar with technology, call the bank’s customer service hotline.
- If you request a PIN reset here, the new PIN will be transmitted to the bank.
- The PIN will be mailed to the residence after completing an application form.
