On Christmas, popular Bengali singer Swagata Lakshmi Dasgupta set a new milestone by singing a thousand songs.
Every morning on YouTube, Rabindra Samragji Smt Swagata Lakshmi Dasgupta continues to give us a wonderful gift. Like “Ekla Gitabitan” it is also an excellent effort.
Everyone went under house arrest when the Prime Minister announced a continuous lockdown in the country. But, even while under house arrest, Swagata ignored his illness and began recording one song every night, editing it with his own photos, and uploading it to his own YouTube channel. He started releasing brand-new music and videos each day. He did not, however, take payment from YouTube for this. His work is titled “Non-Stop Everyday” in English and “Dushsamayer Gaan” in Bengali.
Her YouTube subscribers have surpassed 8,000 as of right now. Similar to “Ekla Gitabitan,” it is not a simple feat. On December 25th, the labour visually reached 1,000 days, and 1,000 songs were finished. Music will continue to exist as long as YouTube does. “Songs, images, thousands of days, and Christmas in the skies,” she said.
Swagata has performed here in nine different languages while remaining faithful to Rabindra Sangeet. On the days of their births and deaths, songs in Sanskrit, Ahmia, Scottish, Urdu, English, Bengali, and folk styles were also performed in honour of all the great men and illustrious musicians who serve as role models in our lives.
